Recently, I taught a CLE course titled “Accident Investigation and Reconstruction: From the Crash Scene to the Courtroom”, to judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys in the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association. Also Presenting was Collision Reconstruction Expert, Christopher A. Puckett of Northeast Crash Dynamics, LLC.
This CLE program focused on the intersection of science, technology, and the law and discussed the fundamental steps that are key to investigating a motor vehicle collision, from a minor fender bender to a serious crash. Additionally, the program provided a roadmap for understanding types of reconstruction techniques and cutting-edge vehicle data acquisition that may assist the criminal practitioner in gaining a better understanding surrounding the circumstances of a crash, including airbag control manual “black box” data, GPS, infotainment systems, and insurance company plug-ins, including their application to collision reconstruction and their limitations.
At RGLZ Personal Injury Law, our experience and knowledge about the dynamics of a car crash provide a strategic advantage in personal injury litigation.
